Bolso Lanvin AW2012

I admit that this trend, found on catwalks today is very easy to add to my wardrobe (or for me to find something stored away that may work). While I love the colourful bags of these past seasons, this back to black trend for fall, brings some quite classy and sophisticated choices. Many  of them designed using minimal shapes and using vintage as inspiration the result makes for bags that will last a lifetime. Too simple? Maybe, but as you know…I’m the kind who tends to follow the motto…simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Browsing through the handbag section of Farfetch.com I found some of the musts from the catwalk that you should bring home with you.

Minimal shapes:
Extremely simple lines like this Jade Chloé bag.

Vintage inspiration:
As seen in this shoulder bag of YSL.

Gladstone bags: Or also called Doctor’s bag is the classic shape we saw at Gucci or Jil Sander. This version of Sebastian Milano adds a modern twist with studded top handles.

Snakeskin:
Be as only details and accents or covering the complete bag, snakeskin is one of textures we continue to see this fall. Take as example this Cashhimi phyton bag.

Textured, fur-covered and embroidered:
This textured crocodile Giuseppe Zanotti bag or this VBH are pure lavish indulgence.
