I saw the work of Christina Berger looking for nice clothes in Berlin. I saw her body/suéter in the Apartment’s on line store and I loved it. Looking at her website I noted that she is after something new, something that reflects zeitgeist.

I contacted her, she was really nice and answered a few questions for us to know her better.

Where did you go to school? When did you finish your studies?

I started studying fashion design in 2003 at the VIENNA Fashion
Institute Hetzendorf (before I did some short courses at the London
College of Fashion and St.Martin’s…- no regular studies)
One year after I left the Fashion institute to start at the university of
applied arts– 2004 Raf Simons was the teacher there;
I am still a student of the Fashion class under Veronique Branquinho but
in Áutumn 2006 I decided to have my own label, I was bored by beeing only
a student…;

What inspired your last collection?
The last collection was inspired by HEIDI, the girl from the alps and
American Psycho.. I am always mixing contraire topics.. to create
something new; Heidi stands for traditional costumes,pittoresque
landscapes and costums…..american psycho for the male killer in an urban
surrounding;
The collection was called: HEIDI WAS A SERIAL KILLER- VOLUME ONE S/S 08-

At the moment I am doing HEIDI WAS A SERIAL KILLER- VOLUME TWO- A colouredversion A/W 08/09 which will be presented during the Berlin Fashion Week
from 1st-3rd Feb 08 at the APARTMENT SHOWROOM;
the collection includes pieces like traditional knit bomber
jacketes…terror mask with traditional knit-……etc in really bright
colours;

Where can we buy your collection?

You can buy my collections in APARTMENT, Berlin and hopefully in Tokyo
from May 2008; let’s see what the Berlin Fashion week will bring- I hope
some more clients.-

Descubrí a Christina Berger buscando en la web ropa y tiendas guapas en Berlín. Encontré su body/suéter y me encantó. Empecé a estudiar Diseño de Moda en el 2003 en el VIENNA Fashion

Un año después dejé el esta escuela para empezar en la universidad Artes Aplicadas, dónde justamente en el 2004 Raf Simons estaba dando clases.
Actualmente sigo estudiando con Veronique Branquinho, pero en otoño 2006 decidí crear mi propia marca, estaba aburrida de ser sólo estudiante…

Qué inspiró tu última colección?
La última colección fue inspirada por HEIDI, la chica de los alpes y American Psycho…Siempre estoy mezclando conceptos contrarios, para crear algo nuevo. Heidi es los trajes tradicionales, paisajes pintorescos y vestidos…American Psycho es el hombre asesino en los alrededores urbanos.La colección se llamó: HEIDI WAS A SERIAL KILLER-VOLUME ONE S/S 08.

Actualmente estoy haciendo HEIDI WAS A SERIAL KILLER-VOLUME TWO-A coloured versión A/W 8/9 que será presentada durante la semana de la moda en Berlín del 1 al 3 de febrero 2008 en el APARTMENT SHOWROOM.. La colección incluye chaquetas bomber tejidas, máscaras de terror tejidas, etc en colores bien eléctricos.

Dónde podemos comprar tus creaciones?
Podeís comprar mis colecciones en APARTMENT y posiblemente en Tokio a partir de mayo 2008; a ver que nos depara la Berlin Fashion Week; quizás mas clientes.-
