Love this trend. I specially like the garments that mix neoprene with other materials, like these Kenzo sneakers (what a fun ‘salad’ of textures and colours) or with cut-out details, like this super cool sweatshirt by South Korean designer Eun-Jung Lee.
Neoprene blouse Muuse x Eun-Jung Lee
Leather and neoprene ankle boots Kenzo
Bikini by Lisa-Marie Fernandez
Bomber in neoprene and jersey T by Alexander Wang
Sneakers by Kenzo
Just a pretty selection of special items for the everyday. I actually have this black dress and I can tell you that not only the quality is amazing, but it is one of those garments that you can dress up and down very easy.

What I love about minimalism is that is all about fitting and materials. Here are some items for this month’s wishlist:
A sleeveless jacket Carin Wester
A textured T-Shirt, this one is block-printed by Revisited Matters
A polished leather pair of ankle-boots Jil Sander
A ladylike silver watch Michael Kors
A cashmere grey turtleneck sweater Eric Bompard
Sun, beach, swimmingpool … three little magic words of this time of the year. And if you are looking shoes for the pool, for example, one of the brands that have good designs is Ipanema.
The neighborhood of the spectacular beach of Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the inspiration behind this innovative line of shoes. The designs combine the relaxed lifestyle by the sea with the sophisticated glamor of the city. Flip-flops and sandals made exclusively of recycled and sustainable materials, they also have some models that are far enough from the typical “flip-flop”.
For something more sophisticated, for example, Gisele Bündchen‘s collection , who works with the brand since 2002, includes details such as butterflies and flowers in shades of tan or bronze. They even have a model with details of “studs” that is fine.
In the redesigned web Dscuento.com you can find models at a great price. Follow the link here. In addition Dscuento can help you find plenty of promotional codes to buy online at thousands of stores, (including Asos). Worth a look before jumping to buy on the web for some bargain hunting.
Spanish shoe brand Deux Souliers continues to grow. Their unique, high quality and sometimes quirky styles can now be found at one of the biggest online marketplaces: Asos.com. I think it’s great news for a young brand like this one and it gives it the opportunity to reach a broader and international audience thirsty for this kind of product. The brand is comprised of an interesting combo: it is directed by Nunu Solsona (a fashion designer trained in traditional footwear design) and it’s creative director is the designer Albert Folch (you may recall his name as the designer of the fashion bible Metal Magazine).
Here are some the models you can find between 185 and 255 euros at asos.com:
In a nutshell: Real fair trade and a transparent production chain for a luxury product. Piola is a luxury independent fashion label based in Paris and all of their shoes are manufactured in Perú in collaboration with 33 fair trade rubber producers and 55 organic cotton producers, an economic development project in partnership with a UN organization. The idea is to take special care collecting the raw materials from the trees in the Amazonas and have a great assembly in Portugal. After showing their collection at Tranoï and Pitti Uomo, they decided to launch a campaign to raise the funds necessary to finally launch the brand in Kickstarter. Here is the link, have your first pair with only 50$ (about 39euros) and help the project.
Eva vs. María‘s new spring collection includes beautiful geometric patterns, a trademark of this young brand launched in 2011 by Eva María Bazán. Bazán comes from a family of experts in leather goods, so after studying fashion design in Barcelona, she decided to continue the family tradition. Her feminine designs flee from silly trends and are made of natural and soft materials carefully chosen to match the style of the shoe. A soft retro flair make her shoes kind of timeless. Available in stores in Spain, Berlin and online.
The German brand RealityStudio by Svenja Specht presents a fresh spring/summer collection with oversized garments, relaxed shapes and soft colours. Called “Souvenir”, is inspired by travels to the beautiful Portugal. Traditional Portuguese embroideries and lace are incorporated into the clean, Asian inspired cuts. This laid-back style is also well represented by its shoe design, made with traditional material cork and leather.
Love this concept: “For Specht to make clothing means to take these aspects and provide a home for bodies which have to adapt in a day, a month, a year, a life to our ever changing conditions and circumstances. Therefore the shapes of the resulting garments are often open to changes and adaptions.” Because the only constant is change…

NEW LIFE is a combinatory experiment in which every stitch establishes an impossible link between eras, persons, styles and functions. Re-usable materials become souvenirs of a rhizomatic network of affections and the clothing items acquire NEW LIFE through an architecture of broken lines and poetic volumes.
