So here it is!
I received this e-mail a couple of weeks ago, asking if I was interested in create a window for the COS shop in Barcelona. Time and budget were a bit tight, but the idea of collaborate with this brand and in such an amazing spot, sounded very exciting.
Since the shop is placed in a landmark building on Passeig de Gracia (the Casa Malagrida), there were also some limitations as to what I was allowed to do.
I came up with the idea of recreating the COS philosophy, using a plain white wall and filling it up with some of my illustrations (framed) which I did taking inspiration from the current collection (one of them was the shoe I advanced to you last week). I also added some representative pieces from their collection. Even though my original idea had much more going on, I preferred to leave it quite minimal since that corresponds more to the core of the brand and my own aesthetics. Other collaborations include Susie Bubble in London and Byglam in Paris.

Recibo este mail hace un par de semanas preguntando si quería hacer el escaparate de la tienda COS de Barcelona. Incluso cuando el tiempo para llevarlo a cabo y el presupuesto eran un poco justos, me pareció una idea muy divertida. La tienda está uno de los edificios modernistas característicos de Passeig de Gracia (la Casa Malagrida), asi que también había algunas limitaciones sobre lo que se podía tocar o hacer en el lugar.
Así que mi idea fue recrear la filosofía de COS, usando una pared blanca y creando una instalación, donde coloqué distintas ilustraciones que hice inspiradas en la colección otoño invierno 2010/11 mezcladas con algunas prendas que encuentro interesantes. A pesar de que la idea original tenía muchas mas cosas, decidí finalmente por dejarlo bastante minimal, ya que corresponde un poco al estilo de las prendas, pero sobretodo, porque tiene que ver con mi propia estética. Otras colaboraciones han sido Susie Bubble en Londres y Byglam en París. Puedes verlas aquí.

Me parece un escaparate muy fiel al estilo puro y minimal de COS. Me gusta más que el de la brittish blogger Style Bubble. ¡Felicidades!
