I’m amazed by this wearable sculptures by the american artist Nick Cave (not be confused with the musician). Mixing haute cuture with African ceremonial costumes, his idea is to “transform the familiar into the fantastical through the evocation of emotions that remain unstated and are realised only in our dreams”. The suits are constructed with found and recycled materials and adorned with different objects. The complete meaning can be seen when the costumes are in motion, check the video out.
Me fascinan estas esculturas / vestimentas del artista americano Nick Cave (no confundir con el músico). Mezclando tecnicas de alta costura con la idea de vestimentas ceremoniales africanas, su idea es tranformar lo familiar en fantástico evocando las emociones que se sólo se ven en los sueños. Construidos con materiales encontrados y reciclados y adornados con diferentes objetos, están pensados para cobrar vida con el movimiento, lo podeís ver en el video.
